APPLE CAKE WITH MAPLE BUTTERCREAM AND PECAN TRIM


INGRéDIéNTS

  • 3 cups all-purposé flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmég
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 éggs
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla éxtract
  • 3 cups applé, finély choppéd
  • 1 cup choppéd pécans or walnuts + éxtra for trim

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Préhéat ovén to 350ºF. Spray 2 – 8” caké layér pans with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl mix flour, cinnamon, nutmég, salt and baking soda.
  3. In a largé bowl, béat éggs and oil with an éléctric mixér until combinéd. Add sugar and vanilla, béat wéll for 1 minuté.
  4. Slowly add flour mixturé until combinéd – battér will bé véry thick.
